No game can happen without the tower officials – dedicated parents who volunteer their time to record all key incidents and statistics during each game.

• The Tower: recording hub of every Inline Hockey game.
• Scorekeeping: monitoring the game score and record goals and assists for both teams.
• Timekeeping: overseeing the game clock, managing periods, stoppages, and penalties.
• Penalty Management: tracking and announcing penalties, ensuring players serve their time correctly.
• Announcing: announcing goals, penalties, and other game-related updates over the public sound system.
• Statistics Recording: also tracking additional statistics, such as shots on goal and player performance.

 

 

Their role is essential for the smooth and fair operation of the game. NIIHA conducts tower clinics regularly to ensure that volunteers are well-versed in the rules and can accurately record all game statistics and operate the scoreboard.
